Hennepin Healthcare Systems (HHS) is seeking a full-time Cardiologist to provide services to a safety-net population at Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC), a public teaching institute with the mission of providing clinical care, teaching, and research.
Duties could include inpatient cardiology consultations/admissions as well as call coverage; continuity and new patient clinics at our Clinic and Specialty Center, as well as outreach locations in the metro area; echocardiography and nuclear cardiology imaging; and advanced cardiac imaging (including coronary CT, and cardiac MRI).
Candidates will possess a current (or eligible for) license to practice in the State of Minnesota, have completed an accredited fellowship in cardiology, and will be board certified in cardiology with level II training in echocardiography (including TEE), nuclear cardiology, and preferably cardiac CT and cardiac MRI. A strong interest in medical education and systems improvement are desired.
All cardiology division members have academic positions at the University of Minnesota Medical School commensurate with experience and have the opportunity to pursue research interests.
Positions at Hennepin Healthcare are credentialed through the Office of the Medical Staff in accordance with its policies.
