Physician – Hepatologist - Seattle
Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle is recruiting a full-time Hepatologist to direct the Liver Center of Excellence, an established center within the Digestive Disease Institute.
Mason is a nationally-recognized academic referral center for digestive and
liver disorders. The Liver Center of Excellence at the Digestive Disease Institute
supports multiple clinical trials in liver disease, research in HCV and NASH as
well as a growing multidisciplinary Liver Tumor program. This position includes
experienced support from hepatology fellows, physician assistants, nurses,
hepatologists, therapeutic endoscopists, surgeons, oncologists, pathologists,
endocrinologists and interventional radiologists.
clinical aspect of this position involves comprehensive management of patients
with acute and chronic liver disease, complications of end-stage liver disease,
pre and 3 months postoperative transplant patients and patients with
hepatocellular carcinoma. Programmatic aspects of the Liver Center of
Excellence include education, outreach, outcomes assessment, quality
improvement, innovation and clinical research.
- BE/BC in specialty area
- 2+ years of experience
- Fellowship trained
- Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of WA
- Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority needed for specific practice
