New Opportunity for a Cardiothoracic Surgeon!
Bon Secours Medical Group, a physician-led multi-specialty group in Hampton Roads, Virginia is currently recruiting for a BC/BE Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join their existing Heart and Vascular Institute. This is an opportunity to play a key role on a multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, vascular surgeons, cardiac anesthesiologists, and cardiothoracic surgical physician assistants in a service-line structure with strong administrative support.
The Heart and Vascular Institute is located adjacent to Maryview Medical Center in Portsmouth, VA, and includes cardiac interventional procedure rooms, a new Electrophysiology Lab, and an operating suite dedicated solely to cardiothoracic and vascular surgical procedures. Physician offices and outpatient clinic are co-located adjacent to the procedural rooms and a 5-bed Cardiovascular-Thoracic Intensive Care Unit and 12-bed Step-Down Unit specially designed for the care of cardiac and vascular patients.
The ideal candidate will have three or more years of experience in cardiothoracic surgery and be comfortable and facile with both open-heart and non-cardiac thoracic surgical procedures. Applicants should possess a medical degree from an approved medical college and have completed postgraduate training in an ACGME-accredited Cardiothoracic Surgery training program. Applicants must be BC/BE by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery or the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery in cardiac surgery.
