Hospital Information

Eisenhower Medical Center was founded in 1966, due in part to the efforts of Bob and Dolores Hope, whose vision remains an important part of the hospital today. The hospital is the home of the Betty Ford Center. The facility will open a 50,000 square-foot birthing center on the Rancho Mirage campus in the Eisenhower Walter and Leonore Annenberg Pavilion. It will include 14 labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum rooms, an eight-bed NICU and two operating rooms.

The Location

A luxurious lifestyle meets a lush landscape in Rancho Mirage, part of the greater Palm Springs area, and one of the nine cities of the Coachella Valley. Many U.S. presidents have chosen the area for rest and relaxation amid the palm trees and golf resorts - earning the city the nickname “playground of presidents.”

The surrounding mountain ranges and south-sloping valley floor contribute to a year-round warm climate, with an average annual high temperature of 87 degrees and an annual low of 63 degrees.
