Inpatient Physiatrist - West Coast of Florida
First Physicians Group of Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is a not-for-profit, multi-specialty group seeking to employ an experienced Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation physician for a growing Inpatient Acute Rehab Pavilion in Sarasota, Florida. The Pavilion recently increased capacity to 54 beds, so we are looking to add to our team.
This beautiful, free-standing facility opened in April 2017 on the campus of Sarasota Memorial Hospital. The 74,000 square-foot, five-story Rehabilitation Pavilion accommodates the complex medical, rehabilitation and mobility needs of patients with brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury, amputation, neurological disorders, and orthopedic & musculoskeletal conditions. Our program continues to earn the highest level of accreditation from CARF with the additional certification as a Stroke Specialty provider.
Qualifications & Responsibilities:
- 3+ years of experience required.
- Board Certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
- Provide Inpatient services in the new state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Pavilion. Attend treatment team meetings and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team. Opportunities will be available for consultation and outpatient services as they are developed.
- Schedule will be Monday through Friday and rotate weekend admissions and rounding with other physiatrists on staff.
- Program is supported by 3 APRNs who provide 7 day a week coverage with rounding, charting and discharge planning.
- Call will be 1:4
- Currently licensed in Florida is preferred, but we will consider candidates who need to apply.
- Physicians have sovereign immunity.
- We are a not-for-profit entity. Physicians can participate in the PSLF program if employed by FPG.
