CoxHealth is Missouri’s first hospital system accredited by DNV-GL Healthcare for quality and patient safety. All six hospitals, as well as our outpatient centers and provider-based clinics hold this national distinction from DNV’s accreditation program, the National Integrated Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.

CoxHealth is the only Springfield hospital named for seven years to U.S. News & World Report's Best Regional Hospitals list. CoxHealth is recognized by CareChex®, the medical quality rating division of Comparion®, as among the Top 10 percent U.S. hospitals for patient safety in overall hospital, medical and surgical care.

Why Lamar?

Residents enjoy all the benefits of small-town living, like good schools and a close-knit community – even a drive-in movie theater. But it’s the 200-acre lake (stocked, of course), thriving industry and commitment to a high quality of life that really makes Lamar a special town and a great place to raise a family.

It’s a town steeped in history – President Harry S. Truman was born here and Wyatt Earp’s career began here – that’s embracing the world of today, with a new 4,000-foot runway, a state-of-the-art indoor/outdoor aquatic center and more. All this plus the low cost of living and local amenities make Lamar a wonderful place to call home.
