ABOUT THE POSITION

The University of Louisville's Department of Medicine is seeking fellowship-trained BE/BC rheumatologists. Physicians in this role will be responsible for the following:

  • Care of individuals with autoimmune disorders at the UofL Hospital clinic
  • Management of biologic and chemotherapeutic protocols in the outpatient setting
  • Patient care of individuals with autoimmune/rheumatologic disorders
  • Teaching of internal medicine residents in clinics and inpatient consult service at University hospital

There will be inpatient consults, but no night call, weekend call or primary care service. 

Located on the University of Louisville Health Sciences Campus, UofL Hospital is a level 1 Trauma hospital, a certified stroke center, and the major clinical site for the care of downtown Louisville. 

This position will provide rheumatologists the opportunity to provide outpatient care in a busy metropolitan area supported by UofL Hospital, in addition to an academic appointment at a major university medical center.
