The Surgery Institute at Geisinger, a national leader in quality, innovation, research and education, is seeking a BC/BE fellowship-trained Pediatric Surgeon. The new associate will join an established pediatric surgery team, including pediatric surgeons, three advanced practitioners, trauma nurses and one pediatric surgical nurse. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual finishing an accredited fellowship, or an experienced pediatric surgeon who is interested in joining a collegial group of professionals in a cutting edge healthcare system. Geisinger Medical Center and Geisinger Janet Weis Children’s Hospital (JWCH) are located on the same campus in Danville, Pennsylvania where infants, toddlers, and teenagers receive the most advanced pediatric services. JWCH is the region’s only dedicated 5-floor, 91 bed children's hospital with full-service hospitalist and intensive care services. JWCH’s team of medical and surgical specialists provide care in over 30 pediatric specialties, including a 41 bed Level IV NICU and 14 bed Level I PICU. NSQIP participant and actively pursuing ACS Children’s Surgery Verification.
