Psychiatry in Alma & Clare, MI

Summary

Working alongside an interdisciplinary psychiatry practice proving inpatient, outpatient, nursing home and consultative psychiatric services throughout mid-Michigan. This provider would have the opportunity to work alongside Dr. Sunil Rangwani, an established psychiatrist, to provide services to Clare, Gratiot and Mt. Pleasant counties.

Responsibilities

• A mixture of inpatient services at MyMichigan Medical Center Alma and outpatient time at MyMichigan Medical Center Clare
• 1:3 call and inpatient rotation with onsite support
• Flexible outpatient schedule
• Behavioral health telehub to assist with crisis services and a contracted tele-psychiatry group to assist with ED consults

Requirements

• Board Certified or Eligible in Psychiatry
• Active State of Michigan License or eligible to apply
• Graduate of a Medical School Recognized by the State of California
• Successful completion of an ACGME approved residency

Alma is in the very center of Michigan’s Lower Peninsula. Less than an hour south is the state capital of Lansing, home of Michigan State University with its Big 10 sports. The medium-sized cities of Grand Rapids and Saginaw are almost as close. A short drive north you will find the renowned scenic beauty of the Lake Michigan and Lake Huron shorelines.

Clare, the city and county, is a quiet, peaceful community with Irish heritage. It’s both a welcome retreat and home. Central Michigan University is just 15 minutes south of Clare in Mount Pleasant.
