Valley Health Advanced Valve Clinic is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to coordinate a growing advanced valve and structural heart clinic in beautiful Winchester, VA.
POSITION FEATURES:
REQUIREMENTS:
- Current Virginia Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license
- Two years of Cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, or Critical Care experience preferred
- The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, collegial, and energetic and patient focused
- Ability to function independently with a high degree of critical thinking
- Ability to function in a challenging and rewarding environment
- Ability to establish priorities, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively
PROFESSIONAL SATISFACTION:
- Coordinates all aspects of the Advanced Valve Clinic and Structural Heart Program
- Facilitates a team approach and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to establish a plan of care
- Screen, plan, organize and provide direct care to patients. Review clinical progress and perform advanced diagnostic and therapeutic tasks. Reviews diagnostic imaging studies and lab valves.
- Coordinates communications, orders appropriate imaging/lab work, makes referrals as necessary to appropriate specialists and works closely with research coordinators to assure information is entered into registry databases
- Prepares and presents cases at multi-disciplinary planning conference
- Participates in ongoing program evaluation and program development

The Valley Health Advanced Valve Clinic is a multi-disciplinary collaboration between Valley Health Cardiothoracic Surgeons, Winchester Medical Center Heart and Vascular Center, and Winchester Cardiology. The team is dedicated to patient centered excellence and your success. The Advanced Valve Clinic provides services to the Northern Shenandoah Valley and Panhandle of W.V. The clinic is growing and refocusing on the patient centered collaborative team model of patient care.
