Our practice:
Located on the campus of St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma, WA, our office currently has one breast surgeon, ARNPs, and a dedicated nurse navigator. This practice has a proven track record in providing quality care as well as engaging in new and innovative techniques over the past 20 years.
Surgeon Responsibilities:
Primary role in evaluating and managing new breast cancer patients. Additionally this surgeon will oversee and collaborate with the ARNPs who see an independent panel of high risk, survivorship, and breast disease patients. Genetic counseling and testing is provided by all providers in this clinic. Other responsibilities include breast ultrasound, savi scout placement as well as savi catheter placement for partial breast radiation. This surgeon will work very closely with highly skilled and experienced plastic surgeons in coordinating optimal surgical planning including nipple sparing mastectomies and oncoplastic surgeries on a regular basis. This surgeon moderates the breast multidisciplinary conference weekly and acts of lead for the NABPC certification. Opportunity to participate in clinical trials is encouraged.
