WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Franciscan Health is seeking a Board-Certified Family Medicine physician to join our single program faculty leadership team for the Family Medicine Residency Program as an Associate Program Director and provide oversight for residents. This position will require full scope family medicine treating patients of all ages including OB, and inpatient medicine for adults and pediatrics.
WHAT WE NEED:
Ideal candidate must have three years of experience in teaching medical students, residents, or fellows. Candidate will display exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, experience in scholarship (discovery, innovation, or education), strong organizational management proficiency and trainee oversight competencies, knowledge of the clinical learning environment and micro-teaching skills, and familiarity with curriculum development and implementation. Will be a strong advocate between the residency program and the physician network.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
Schedule: Monday – Friday, variable
State-of-the art facility with recent remodel of Family Medicine Center
Strong obstetrics program
40% admin, including resident coaching and support activities, scholarship, curriculum development, support of the clinical learning environment, and faculty development
60% clinical which includes faculty clinic schedule along with staffing duties
Supervision of up to 4 residents per clinic session in the provision of patient care
Teaching residents on relevant disease states, ensuring knowledge of pathophysiology, diagnosis, treatment, cure, risk mitigation and prevention
Evaluation and feedback of the residents
Attendance at program meetings including conferences, journal clubs and case presentations
Support an environment of scholarly activity through the support of resident participation in innovation, investigation, discovery, process improvement and related activities
Curriculum and policy review and development
Faith based and family friendly organization
