Physician - Chief of Vascular Surgery

The Chief provides clinical and administrative leadership in support of the Vascular Surgery program. The incumbent will lead the development and growth of an efficient, high-quality program, to support the continued development of a Vascular platform. The incumbent will implement a wide range of vascular surgery services targeting key needs in the Luminis Health Doctors Community Medical Center (LHDCMC) patient population. The incumbent is accountable for ensuring program adherence to evidence-based medical standards, quality initiatives, and top quartile performance metrics.

Responsibilities include:

• Working collaboratively with Hospital, Medical Group, and Service Line leadership to develop a comprehensive Vascular Surgery growth and development plan at LHDCMC
• Serving as active faculty in Vascular Surgery, providing both ambulatory and acute care for patients
• Leading all external recruitment efforts in support of growth and development goals, including recruitment of Vascular Surgery faculty
• Collaborating with Luminis Health Cardio-Vascular medical and surgical leadership on the development and integration of vascular surgery into Luminis Health’s services
• Leading all internal and external stakeholder engagements, including developing collaborative relationships with key clinical practices, hospitals and health systems within Luminis Health’s primary and extended markets
• Participating in the operating and capital budget process for Vascular Surgery
• Working to implement, develop, and grow research initiatives related to Vascular Surgery 
• Participating in succession planning and planned growth within Medical Staff specialties as related to Vascular Surgery
• Seeking grant or industry funding for research projects, and initiating research collaborations with regional academic centers

Requirements include:

• Degree in medicine from an accredited medical school
• Licensed to practice in the State of Maryland and Board Certified
