Clinical Instructor, Assistant/Associate/Professor of Forensic Psychiatry (NTT) 

Department of Psychiatry 

The Department of Psychiatry, University of Missouri-Columbia, is seeking a full-time, board-certified, or board-eligible forensic psychiatrist. Responsibilities include providing forensic psychiatry services on an inpatient unit, in an outpatient clinic, or in an inpatient consult service; all with opportunities for teaching and research. The position will hold the title of Clinical Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Professor of Psychiatry. Salary will be dependent on qualifications and experience.

About MU Psychiatry: 
 
Inpatient opportunities exist in our 44-bed inpatient clinic at Missouri Psychiatric Center, which also offers an emergency room assessment unit to assist with crisis stabilization, intake, and discharge planning. Outpatient care is provided at two locations: South Providence Psychiatry and Battle Avenue Psychiatry Clinic. We also offer a number of specialized treatments at our Interventional Psychiatry Clinic, such as ECT, TMS, DBS, VNS, CES, intranasal ketamine for treating refractory depression, and inpatient postpartum depression treatment. 
 
Details: 

  • Join a department of 7 Adult Psychiatrists 

  • APP - 1 

  • Inpatient consults and outpatient clinic

  • Average of 10 patients per day 

  • Dedicated offices for outpatient services 

  • Strong nursing support 

  • Call Schedule: 2 weeks/year including a holiday week 

  • All ranks available – commensurate with experience 

  • Non-tenure track 

Qualifications: 

  • MD/DO 

  • BC/BE 

  • For the purposes of this application, board-certified/board-eligible are considered experienced.
