Duke Cardiology Seeks Interventional Cardiologist - Sanford, North Carolina

Duke Cardiology and the Duke Heart Network is seeking a talented BC/BE Interventional Cardiologist to join our growing community-based faculty practice in Sanford, NC. Central Carolina Cardiology offers the community a suite of services including diagnostic, interventional and stabilization services with 2,709 inpatient consults and 1,623 office visits in 2021.

Located near Central Carolina Hospital (CCH), a 137 bed facility, has been providing quality, compassionate healthcare for the residents of Lee County and surrounding areas for decades. CCH has a medical staff of more than 100 physicians and more than 500 employees.

Sanford is experiencing the benefits of Raleigh-Durham’s considerable growth. The Triangle area is the fastest growing metropolitan area in the nation. Sanford is located in Lee County, the heart of central North Carolina, with a population over 60,000 and is known for its low cost of living and a family-friendly environment. It is a 30-40 mile drive from Raleigh, Cary and Chapel Hill, and Pinehurst - the “Home of American Golf” - and the military bases of Fort Bragg and Pope Air Force. This central location allows for easy access for a quick trip west to the picturesque Blue Ridge and Great Smoky Mountains or east to pristine and family-friendly beaches on the North and South Carolina coast.

New housing developments have been approved due to growth with new industries starting up operations. Significant job growth is expected with Vietnamese electric car maker, VinFast moving nearby and adding 7500 jobs.  Central Carolina Community College will be training workers starting in 2023 to support the expansion.
