Duke Health and the Duke Cancer Network have a growth opportunity for a fourth Hematologist-Oncologist to join them within a network of affiliated community-based cancer programs and providers. This role provides significant patient care throughout Duke Health and its affiliated communities.

This physician can be based in Raleigh/Durham, with transportation provided to no more than two Hematology-Oncology clinic locations within the Duke Cancer Network. See 12-15 patients a day while you develop a general Hematologist-Oncologist practice with a clinical area of special interest on well-resourced teams. Provide call coverage at Duke Cancer Network clinical affiliate sites on an as needed basis, as assigned. You will join Duke Health colleagues at tumor boards, clinical trials research, and have the opportunity to teach Duke Oncology fellows in clinic.

A typical week would include an average of 3.5 clinic days seeing your own panel of patients, and 1.5 days of protected time to focus on academic interests. The role is ideal for a physician with a strong interest in collaborating with Duke sub-specialists to develop cancer treatment protocols for local communities, develop community-based clinical research, with opportunities to engage in Duke Cancer Network leadership opportunities.
