The Department of Neonatology at Children's Minnesota is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible neonatologist to join their group of 24 neonatologists. Neonatologists at Children’s Minnesota care for babies across the entire spectrum of neonatal care including those requiring ECMO and those with major surgical conditions. The successful candidate will have expertise to provide for babies across the spectrum of neonatal care rotating in the Level III and Level IV NICUs in St. Paul and Minneapolis and in partner neonatal programs at community sites. Neonatologists work in a multidisciplinary collaborative care model across all our sites. With nearly 200 neonatal beds in our neonatal units, we care for ~ 3,000 babies every year, with an active neonatal transport program that provides both air and ground transport to more than 500 babies annually.
The department has a decades-long history of active participation in numerous clinical research trials, has an active department of quality and is now joining the Children’s Hospital Neonatal Consortium. Children’s Minnesota also serves as a training site for the neonatal-perinatal medicine fellowship program at the University of Minnesota.

The Twin Cities Minnesota is home to 10,000 lakes – and two thriving neighboring cities, Minneapolis and St. Paul. Both cities are filled with vibrant culture, history, sports and art. The Minneapolis-St. Paul region combines rich urban attractions with an exceptionally beautiful natural environment. The Twin Cities metro area is also a shopper’s delight, anchored by the nation’s largest mall, the Mall of America. The Twin Cities offers a four-season climate similar to many Midwestern cities. Although Minneapolis is infamous for its cold winters, residents can stay warm with the Minneapolis Skyway, an indoor pedestrian walkway system that links many downtown buildings. The walkway spans 69 blocks and seven miles and is the longest continuous skyway system in the world. The coldest month of the year, January, has an average high temperature of 24 degrees, while the warmest month of July has an average high temperature of 83 degrees. Through all four seasons, there are plenty of activities to enjoy. Summer means boating and swimming on our multitude of lakes, and biking on abundant local trails – the same trails used by cross-country skiers in the winter. There are a half-dozen downhill ski areas within an hour drive. The metro area boasts nine state parks within its perimeter, along with over 150 golf courses — which cater to the highest number of golfers of any state.. |
