Excellent opportunity for a general Orthopedic Surgeon interested and experienced in joint surgery  to join a well established group  located in Jasper, Alabama. 

Highlights:

  • Employment with TPR (Tenet Physician Resources)
  • Enjoy practicing with 4 other orthopedic surgeons including 2 general orthopedic surgeons and 2 spine/orthopedic surgeons
  • Desire and ability to perform joint replacement surgeries
  • Surgeries performed at both Walker Baptist Medical Center and a surgery center
  • Clinic located less than 1 mile from hospital and offers both X-Ray and MRI
  • Anticipate weekly schedule of 3 days in the clinic and 2 days in surgery
  • Average of 20 - 40 patients per day/per physician seen in the clinic; average of 4–6 surgeries per day

Candidate Requirements:

  • MD or DO degree required
  • BE/BC in orthopedic surgery
  • Alabama licensed or eligible to obtain licensure in the State of Alabama

Walker Baptist Medical Center is a 267 bed, acute care facility located in Jasper, Alabama, which is 35 minutes from metro Birmingham. This facility has over 600 employees and offers a comprehensive range of clinical services including orthopedics, general surgery, obstetrics/gynecology, emergency services, and specialized medical and surgical services. Walker Baptist Medical Center received a Five-Star rating for spinal surgery, total knee replacement, as well as COPD treatment.

Jasper is home to Lewis Smith Lake, a large, recreational lake that’s perfect for fishing, swimming, and boating. The city also offers golf courses, parks, museums, and local dining.
