HealthCareMatch

Frequently Asked Questions

Our FAQ section is split up into two sections to provide information about both HealthCareMatch and PracticeMatch and the purpose of each platform.

About HealthCareMatch

We created HealthCareMatch as a job board for ALL healthcare professions, non-physician and physician careers alike. These professions include specialties like Cardiology, Emergency Medicine, and Anesthesiology, but also non-physician careers like Dental Hygienist, Nursing, and Allied Health.
On HealthCareMatch, you can find jobs from organizations such as AdventHealth, AdvantageCare Physicians, Acadia Healthcare, Memorial Hermann, among others.
As mentioned above, you can find jobs in all kinds of fields – Dentistry, Social Work, Military Healthcare and more!
The biggest difference between PracticeMatch and HealthCareMatch is that unlike PracticeMatch, HealthCareMatch lists non-clinician professions. While PracticeMatch only lists jobs for Advanced Practitioners and Physicians, HealthCareMatch has only non-physician opportunities. This gives job candidates more of an opportunity to find their perfect career. Similarly to PracticeMatch, HealthCareMatch allows candidates to filter through job opportunities by geographic location, job category/specialty, employer, and type of employment.

About PracticeMatch

Established in 1989, PracticeMatch is a physician job board used to help medical facilities recruit physicians directly instead of using outside physician search firms. PracticeMatch Corporation is located in St. Louis, Missouri and serves leading hospitals, healthcare systems, medical facilities, and physicians nationwide. In-house recruiters utilize our powerful database and through doing so, can find physicians who are interested in finding a new practice position using their geographic and practice preferences. The search criteria that you list in your completely private, free profile allows for in-house recruiters to contact you with positions that match the preferences stated in your profile.
Our clients are medical facilities – hospitals, health systems, private practices, clinics, and academic institutions throughout the nation who have their own in-house physician recruitment programs.
No. Our clients pay an annual subscription fee to use our database and are then free to contact as few or as many physicians as they need to fill their open job opportunities. If you were to sign a contract to practice with one of our clients, we do not receive any additional compensation.
There is no cost or obligation to the physician. The PracticeMatch Career Center and career resources are free tools to aid in a physician's job search. Subscribing medical centers can see exactly what geographic locations and practice preferences are of interest to the physician. This means that the physician does not waste their valuable time being contacted about opportunities that do not match their preferences or standards.

Compensation Survey

With the help of M3 Global Research, we conduct an annual compensation survey covering things like time in the profession, ages of survey participants, bonuses received, and more. You can find that information here.
