The University of Florida Department of Anesthesiology, Division of Neuro-anesthesiology, is seeking Neuro-anesthesia-trained anesthesiologists to join our esteemed team, situated in the sunny and vibrant city of Gainesville, FL.

The Opportunity

The Neuro-anesthesia division boasts a boasts a vibrant, growing academic practice which includes a fellowship program and work closely with neuromedicine and neurosurgical surgical specialists in a collegial environment that fosters collaboration.

The division staffs nine specialized operating rooms specifically designed for neurosurgical and orthopedic spine procedures. Among these, are two hybrid endovascular suites and rooms equipped with intraoperative MRI capabilities. Additionally, we are a certified comprehensive stroke center.

Annually, we serve approximately 5,000 patients undergoing a diverse range of procedures. At the heart of our practice lies a commitment to advancing patient outcomes and contributing to the field of neuro-anesthesiology.

Minimum Requirements:

1. M.D./D.O. or equivalent
2. Neuro-anesthesia experience
3. Skills in clinical care, research, and/or education
4. ABA certification/eligibility
5. Credentials to obtain a State of Florida physician's license

The Department of Anesthesiology

Our department comprises more than 90+ clinical faculty, 9 active research faculty, 88 residents, 25 fellows, 75 CRNAs and CAAs, and a support and administrative staff of 40+ people. We are a world-renowned academic department that typically publishes at least 26 books and book chapters, more than 55 manuscripts, and is granted around 5 U.S. patents each year.

Our anesthesiology faculty are trained in a variety of clinical subspecialties including critical care medicine, pediatrics, congenital heart anesthesiology, neuro-anesthesiology, obstetric anesthesiology, and pain medicine. Research interests of our faculty span clinical and basic science, cognition, simulation training, and neurodegenerative disorders.
