PracticeMatch is excited to partner with Tidelands Health to assist residents and fellows in their passion and drive to care for others. The Tidelands Empowered Physician Scholarship has been founded in partnership by PracticeMatch and Tidelands Health, an independent health system located near Myrtle Beach, SC, to award residents and fellows who exhibit community involvement and dedication to caring for others.
This scholarship may help offset the high cost of education for a current resident or fellow. To enter, submit your CV and an essay (minimum of 500 words) that shares the most rewarding and inspiring patient care experience you have encountered during your training. Please be mindful of HIPAA, and do not include any information that could potentially identify the patient. The winner of this scholarship will receive $2000 to be put toward their education.

CRITERIA
Scholarship essays will be judged on the student's ability to express and validate his or her view, rather than on whether PracticeMatch agrees with the student's view. Judges will look for writing that is clear, articulate, and logically organized. Winning essays must demonstrate an outstanding grasp of the value of caring for others through a medical career. -
JUDGES
Leaders from PracticeMatch and Tidelands Health who have a close appreciation of the value and impact of healthcare providers in their community and across the nation. -
