Southern Illinois has the luxury of having the small town treasures with also being near big cities just down the road for the big city feel.  You’ll find we have plenty of outdoor activities, such as, hiking, fishing, boating, biking, camping, swimming, etc. in addition to events all over our area and in your community.  There is something for everyone, and if you do get bored you can take a short road trip to a bigger urban city and head back same day.  It’s the best of both worlds
