Situated in the heart of downtown St. Petersburg, along Florida’s Gulf Coast, Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital St. Petersburg is a comprehensive emergency, medical and surgical acute-care facility, serving the residents of the region for more than 110 years. Bayfront Hospital has been part of the Orlando Health organization since October 2020.  

Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital is a 480-bed tertiary care center and the only Level II Adult Trauma Center in Pinellas County. With advanced technology and expertise in numerous specialties, including cardiovascular, neuroscience, obstetrics, digestive health, orthopedics, surgery, emergency and trauma, and acute rehabilitation, Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital offers comprehensive, multidisciplinary care. The hospital holds DHV-GL certification as a Comprehensive Stroke Center and Joint Commission certification in hip and knee joint replacement. A 38-bed neurosciences unit has a dedicated neurology team with subspecialty expertise in stroke, epilepsy and Parkinson’s disease. Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital has been accredited by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers (NAEC) as a Level 4 adult epilepsy center. This accreditation is reserved for centers providing the most complex forms of intensive neurodiagnostic monitoring, as well as more extensive medical, neuropsychological, and psychosocial treatment. Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital, Baby Place offers full obstetrical care and, in partnership with Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, is a state-certified Level III Regional Perinatal Intensive Care Center (RPICC) — one of only 13 in Florida.   

Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital is committed to staying at the forefront of medical research and technology and, as a teaching hospital, provides an exceptional training and learning environment with residency programs in family medicine, obstetrics and gynecology and pharmacy; a fellowship program in sports medicine; and home to the NAACLS-accredited Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital School of Medical Technology.
