To operate an adult male medium security institution and a separate minimum security unit by providing care, custody, and control in a safe and secure environment. This institution operates within a framework of the Justice Cabinet, Department of Corrections, to protect the citizens of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Eastern Kentucky Correctional Complex is a medium security institution located in the Appalachian Region of Morgan County in Eastern Kentucky. Accredited by the American Correctional Association (ACA). Population around 1,700 inmates/patients.
