Lawnwood Regional Medical Center
The hospital provides the only level II Trauma Center and level III NICU in the area. The Labor and Delivery unit delivers approximately 1,450 infants annually. It is comprised of seven Labor/Delivery/Recovery Suites with an operating room on the unit so patients needing a caesarean section can be cared for by the same caring and professional Labor and Delivery staff. The NICU is a 10-bed unit caring for babies over 1,000 grams. There is always a Board Certified Neonatologist on-site, all Registered Nurses are certified in neonatal resuscitation, and the addition of the OBHG hospitalist program provides an additional safety net for patients and local providers.
