This 81-bed facility is tucked into the southernmost foothills of the Appalachians and is surrounded by lakes, parklands, and a National Forest. Alexander City boasts a very low crime rate and affordable cost of living. Russell Medical is recognized as one of the premier healthcare facilities in the state and has an active medical staff of over 50 physicians, representing over 31 specialties. Russell's emergency department has an annual patient volume of approximately 23k. There are 12 private rooms and 2 dedicated trauma rooms. There is also APC coverage daily available and hospitalists on site.
