The town of Barrow is located on the Arctic Ocean and is considered one of the biggest Eskimo settlements in Alaska. it is the farthest north community in the United States and because of its location it received 24-hour daylight between the dates of May 10 - August 2. Today Barrow is home to more than 4,000 people now. It is also considered a hub to its surrounding smaller villages.
The community of Barrow can be reached only by plane. It has a variety of things of offer like purchasing art made by people of the community (baleen boats, carved ivory, masks, ect.). In May the community holds a festival called Nalukataq if the whalers were successful that year, and much more.
