New Greensboro Pediatric & Adult Urgent Care Clinic Seeks APPs!!

Wake Forest Health Network Family Medicine - Pediatric & Adult Urgent Care located in Greensboro, N.C., seeks Advanced Practice Professionals (NP/PA) to join their new practice of 2 physicians and 4 advanced practice professionals opening November 2023! This will be a team-oriented practice with supportive colleagues and well trained clinical and clerical staff that will go the extra mile for their patients. The practice will offer a great opportunity for an APP who wants a comprehensive outpatient clinic including all ages treating minor burns or injuries, sprains and strains, coughs, colds and sore throats, allergic reactions (non-life threatening), rash or other skin irritations, broken bones and more. Must have a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in Urgent Care / Emergency Department / Family Medicine and experience with pediatric patients. 

Pediatric & Adult Urgent Care services will include:

  • Specialization in the management of chronic diseases including diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease and high cholesterol
  • Diagnosis and treatment of acute illnesses
  • Minor surgeries (repair of lacerations, removal of moles and cysts, etc.)
  • Treatment of minor injuries
  • Specialist and community resource referrals

Job Summary

The physician is a patient-centered, system-oriented teammate who manages the care of all patients within their primary practice/clinical setting.  The physician leads an interdisciplinary team to perform assigned clinical duties, while displaying the highest standards of ethical and moral conduct as well as acting in the best interest of Atrium Health, supporting our mission, vision and values. 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: 

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program or Physician Assistant Program. Master's degree preferred.

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION:

  • North Caroling Board of Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner or North Carolina State Board of Medical Examiners approval as a Physician Assistant.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
