Job Description:
Coordinator SBO Revenue Integrity

This position is responsible for driving and supporting the Revenue Integrity function for the Single Billing Office (SBO) at Bay Area Hospital, in coordination with our Epic Community Connect partners. Supports clinical departments responsible for working decentralized edits. Is responsible for working and resolving edits assigned to Revenue Integrity. Serves as a resource to both internal departments and the Community Connect chargemaster team and will help with identifying CPT codes, revenue codes or payer specific charging requirements for services provided.

  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook & Excel) and the ability to manipulate large data files required

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/DEGREES
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Associates or Bachelor degree preferred
  • Current Epic certifications or ability to gain certification within 180 days (6 months) preferred:
  • ARCR: Resolute Hospital Billing & Charging
  • ARCR: Resolute Professional Billing Revenue Integrity-Charge Capture and Coding
  • Healthcare certification (AAHAM, NAHAM, HFMA), Epic Certification and/or training preferred
  • Coding certification and/or successful completion of CPT/HCPCS coding classes preferred


EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of three years of hospital and professional chargemaster, coding and/or billing work experience in healthcare revenue cycle
  • Recent experience with hospital charge capture workflows, chargemaster maintenance, CPT, HCPCS and Revenue Codes
  • Experience with Epic, Mosaic, Experian, Craneware, Optum, 3M or other EMR and revenue cycle solutions software required
  • WebEx, Teams or other remote meeting/communication platforms
  • Project management, technical implementations, and change management experience a plus
