Job Summary:

The Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group, P.C. is seeking a full time Acupuncturist to care of patients in our DC/Suburban Maryland Region. Under the direction and supervision of the Chief of Pain Management, the Acupuncturist utilizes acupuncture to stimulate certain points on or near the surface of the body by the insertion of needles to prevent or modify the perception of pain or to normalize physiological functions. May perform or prescribe the use of acupressure, cupping, breathing techniques, exercise or nutrition, including the incorporate of herbs as dietary supplements to promote health. This is a full-time position and is eligible for full benefits.

Flexibility to travel to medical centers will be required as needed. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate to the Washington D.C., Maryland, or Virginia area. 

Qualifications: 

  • A minimum of two (2) years practice with more than 15 patients a day and Western background as nurse, physical therapist or other western medical clinical position
  • Graduate of an accredited acupuncture school and complete four academic years of education, including 800 hours of clinical training
  • Must be board certified in Acupuncture
  • Licensed to practice Acupuncture in the State of Maryland with the ability to acquire Virginia and Washington D.C. licenses
  • Must have a National Provider Identifier (NPI), or obtain an NPI, prior to employment start date
  • CPR – BLS (Administered by the American Heart Association)
