Are you a passionate Physical Therapist looking for a supportive and innovative work environment? We invite you to become part of our dedicated team where we prioritize both patient care and Professional development. Our Eagle River location is in need of a full-time/part-time outpatient orthopedic Physical Therapist with pelvic floor experience or desire to learn. Experience treating pelvic floor dysfunction and obstetrical care is preferred; however, we will consider a candidate interested in specializing in women's health through mentorship. The Physical Therapist is a medical clinician who treats musculoskeletal disease and dysfunctions, including orthopedic, neurologic, traumatic, or developmental, throughout the patient's/client's life.

Skills required

* Latest manual therapy techniques, procedures, and treatment aids.
* Use modalities including ultrasound, electrical stimulation, laser, iontophoresis, heat and cold packs, and others.
* Assessment, fit, and fabrication of custom orthotics.
* Knowledge of word processor/computer and software (Microsoft Office).

Responsibilities and Duties

* Evaluate and establish a Plan of Care (POC).
* Perform regular treatments as determined by the POC.
* Advances patient/client treatment in a manner consistent with the nature and severity of diagnosis, including home exercise or activities to increase independence.
* Supervise Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) if applicable, and co-sign treatment notes.
* Complete treatment documentation in a timely and accurate manner. Daily Notes at session time, and Evaluations within 24 hours of the visit.
* Maintain open communications with the patient's referring physicians.
* Collaborate with fellow clinicians and clinical staff to reduce patient/client cancellations and no-shows.
* In the event of a no-show, call the patient/client after ten minutes before the start of the scheduled appointment time.
* Adhere to all legal and ethical standards of confidentiality.
* Maintains an organized and efficient workspace and a high level of detail when completing tasks.
* Actively participates in promoting clinic efficiency and productivity goals.
* At all times, maintain a respectful demeanor and comport oneself in a manner consistent with the highest standards of honesty, courtesy, integrity, and professionalism.

Minimum Qualifications Required

* Bachelor's degree in a recognized Physical Therapy program.
* Two years of direct patient care and an interest in pursuing women's health, (determined on a case-by-case basis).
* Professionally licensed in the state of employment (Alaska).
* Accumulate necessary continuing education credits.
