*Job Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing periodontal cleanings, root planning's as well as Laser assisted treatments. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and patient assessment techniques. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with both patients and the dental team to ensure a comfortable and efficient experience in our clinic.
*Responsibilities*
* Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and vital signs.
* Perform dental cleanings and apply preventive materials as needed.
* Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits and hygiene maintenance.
* Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
* Utilize EMR systems in Dentrix for documentation review and patient management.
* Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the dental operatory, adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
* Stay updated on advancements dental hygiene and periodontal practices.
* Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care in a supportive environment.
*Experience*
* Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred.
* Familiarity with Dentrix software is a plus.
* Knowledge of medical terminology, medical coding, and documentation review is beneficial.
* Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge related to dental health is essential.
