*Radiation Therapist Summary:*
This position is a part-time (with possibility of moving to full-time) on-site role for a Radiation Therapist at Oncology Nevada, part of Urology Nevada, Ltd. The Radiation Therapist will be responsible for administering radiation treatments to patients, ensuring accuracy of treatment delivery while following all radiation safety protocols. The role involves collaborating with the healthcare team, within our office and beyond, to optimize patient care and outcomes.
Our clinic is busy and fast paced, applicants should be highly motivated and eager to learn. We have one TrueBeam linear accelerator used in combination with the Vision RT (SGRT) system for assisting in patient setups. We occasionally perform HRD treatments (APBI Savi for breast cancer, vaginal cylinder for GYN and Leipzig applicator for skin treatments) with a GammaMed afterloader. CT Simulations are also performed by the radiation therapists, on-site, on our newly installed Siemens Biography mCT PET/CT scanner. This piece of equipment is shared daily with our awesome nuclear medicine technician - any interest in learning and assisting with PET procedures and studies is a plus!
*Qualifications*
* American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certified in Radiation Therapy
* Valid State License in Radiation Therapy (can be acquired upon hire)
* Current CPR/BLS Certificate
* In-depth Understanding of Radiation Safety Practices
* Strong attention to detail in delivering treatments and monitoring patients
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Compassionate and Empathetic towards patients, their support system and coworkers
* Ability to work effectively in a fast paced team environment
* Previous experience in a healthcare setting is a plus, specifically Radiation Oncology
* Associate's degree (or similar) in Radiation Therapy
