*Overview*
We are seeking a Licensed Dental Hygienist for 2-4 days a week (accepting applications for part-time and full-time positions). We are a two-dentist office that takes pride in offering exceptional patient care. We have an excellent team and a modern facility located in downtown Stillwater. Benefits include Medical, Dental, 401k, Vacation and Holiday pay, and no weekends.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care, ensuring patient comfort, and promoting oral health education. This position requires a commitment to infection control, thorough patient assessments, making meaningful connections with patients, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
*Responsibilities*
* Perform thorough dental cleanings and periodontal therapy for patients of all ages, including pediatrics
* Conduct patient assessments through periodontal evaluations and radiographs to evaluate oral health and identify any potential issues
* Utilize medical imaging techniques to assist in diagnostics and treatment planning
* Maintain infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff
* Maintain instruments through sterilization, storage, and routine maintenance
* Document patient treatment plans accurately and progress notes thoroughly in the office systems
* Review health documentation and maintain accurate records of patient visits and treatments
* Provide education to patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and follow up dental care needs
* Assist teammates with various tasks to help everyone's day run efficiently
*Experience*
* Previous experience as a Dental Hygienist is preferred but not required; new graduates are encouraged to apply
* Familiarity with general dentistry practices and procedures
* Knowledge and understanding of how various roles and responsibilities around the office all help to deliver exceptional patient care
* Knowledge of infection control standards and health records documentation review processes
* Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and the dental team to provide exceptional care
