*Job Summary*:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our family orientated dental office. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and health during each visit and will be responsible for performing preventive dental care, educating patients on oral hygiene practices, and assisting the dental team in delivering exceptional patient care.

*Duties*

* Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations, utilizing appropriate techniques and tools.
* Perform infection control procedures to maintain a safe and sterile environment.
* Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary recommendations.
* Review and document patient medical histories, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
* Assist in pediatric dentistry by providing care tailored to younger patients.
* Utilize and be proficient in Eaglesoft software for patient documentation and record management.
* Conduct documentation reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness of patient records.
* Apply aseptic techniques during procedures to minimize infection risks.
* Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care including treatment plans for restorative care.

*Qualifications*

* Valid dental hygiene license in the state of practice.
* Proficiency in dental terminology and medical coding is preferred.
* Experience with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques is essential.
* Familiarity with Eaglesoft or similar dental software is a plus.
* Strong communication skills, particularly in educating patients about oral health.
* Ability to work effectively with children in a pediatric setting is highly desirable.
* Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and following all OSHA and PPE safety protocols.
