*Job Summary*

We're looking for a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our clinical team and help patients achieve and maintain optimal oral health. This role is ideal for someone with strong preventive and periodontal care skills, a passion for patient education, and the ability to work collaboratively with dentists and the broader dental team to provide an exceptional patient experience.

*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*

* Provide prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling, and root planing (SRP)
* Conduct periodontal charting, risk assessments, and oral cancer screenings
* Take and interpret dental radiographs (BWX, FMX, panoramic)
* Apply sealants and fluoride treatments in accordance with state law
* Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
* Accurately document care in the EHR
* Maintain sterilization and infection control protocols per OSHA standards
* Collaborate with dentists on treatment plans and support recall efforts
* Participate in daily huddles and team meetings

*Required Skills and Certifications*

* Active state Dental Hygiene license
* Minimum 1 year of clinical dental hygiene experience
* Current CPR certification
* Radiography/X-ray certification (as required by state law)
* Proficiency with ultrasonic and hand instrumentation
* Strong patient communication skills
* Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA standards
* Physically able to assist patients and perform clinical tasks (standing, lifting, etc.)

*Preferred Skills*

* Local anesthesia certification (if state-licensed)
* Nitrous oxide monitoring permit
* Experience with dental software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental)
* Bilingual abilities
