*Responsibilities*
* Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently while adhering to all legal and ethical standards.
* Conduct patient assessments to ensure appropriate medication therapy and monitor for potential drug interactions.
* Provide guidance to Assisted Living caregivers regarding medication usage, side effects, and health management strategies.
* Manage inventory effectively, including ordering, stocking, and maintaining appropriate levels of medications.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop clinical pharmacy services tailored to patient needs.
* Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
* Stay current with advancements in pharmacotherapy, clinical practices, and pharmacy software.
*Qualifications*
* *Licensure:* Pharmacist degree from an accredited institution.
* *Education:* Active pharmacist license in the State of Iowa.
* *Experience: * Long-Term Care experience not required
* Proficiency in pharmacy software systems for prescription processing and inventory management.
* Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and education.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
