We are seeking a talented individual or two to join our Birch Spa Team!
Are you utterly professional with a strong desire to be fully present for your clients? Do you want to help people feel better in their body? Did you get into massage because you want to make a difference in people's lives? You will have an opportunity to create lasting therapeutic relationships here at Birch. About 75% of our clients return on a regular basis.
Birch is a busy Boutique Spa in the heart of Uptown Kingston. We opened in 2012 and have been growing, expanding and evolving since then. Open and run by a seasoned LMT, you can look forward to a provider focused environment. We are organized yet down to earth, inclusive, empathetic, tight knit, wellness oriented and here to serve our community. You can look forward to a supportive work environment in which to flourish. You can bring your unique combination of techniques and modalities to each personalized session, without being required to give cookie-cutter treatments. We offer flexibility, autonomy, consistent and rewarding work, competitive pay and room to grow.
New and seasoned providers are encouraged to apply. We are willing to sponsor recent grads. Please include availability, although weekend availability is a must.
```Duties:```
- Perform therapeutic massages of soft tissues and joints to provide pain relief and promote relaxation
- Assess clients' needs and create personalized treatment plans
- Utilize various massage techniques such as deep tissue, trigger point therapy, and Swedish massage
- Apply appropriate pressure to relieve muscle tension and improve circulation
- Educate clients on self-care techniques and exercises to enhance the benefits of the massage
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records
```Requirements:```
- Valid license as a Massage Therapist
-Liabilty insurance
- Experience in pain management and acute pain management techniques
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to provide excellent patient service
- Ability to assess patients' conditions and customize treatment plans accordingly
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: From $48.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 - 30 per week
