*Position Summary*
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care to residents in accordance with facility policies, state and federal regulations, and standards of nursing practice. The RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating resident care to achieve the highest level of physical and psychosocial well-being.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*
* Provide direct nursing care to residents, including medication administration, treatments, and documentation.
* Assess and monitor residents' conditions; identify changes and notify the physician, family, and appropriate team members.
* Develop, revise, and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
* Supervise and evaluate the care provided by Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility, state, and federal guidelines.
* Participate in admission, transfer, and discharge processes, ensuring continuity of care.
* Promote infection control and safety standards throughout the facility.
* Assist in staff education, resident/family teaching, and orientation of new employees.
* Respond to emergencies promptly and effectively.
* Attend care conferences, staff meetings, and ongoing training as required.
* Uphold residents' rights and maintain confidentiality at all times.
*Qualifications*
* *Education:* Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
* *Licensure:* Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Minnesota.
* *Experience:* Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred but not required.
* *Certifications:* Current CPR/BLS certification required.

* Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
* Effective communication and leadership abilities.
* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of long-term care regulations, documentation requirements, and resident rights.
* Compassionate and resident-centered approach to care.
*Physical Requirements*
* Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move intermittently throughout the shift.
* Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
* Visual and auditory acuity to assess residents and communicate effectively.
*Work Environment*
* Skilled Nursing Facility environment with frequent resident and staff interaction.
* May involve exposure to infections, odors, and bodily fluids.
* Must follow all facility safety and infection control procedures.
