*Overview*
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical experience across various specialties, including critical care, emergency medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, and outpatient settings. Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, and eClinicalWorks is essential. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for delivering comprehensive patient care, performing assessments, administering medications and injections, managing complex medical procedures, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA and infection control standards. Experience in specialized areas such as dialysis, cardiac catheterization, trauma medicine, hospice & palliative care, and working with diverse patient populations including those with developmental disabilities or memory care needs is highly desirable. *Duties*

* Conduct thorough patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation.
* Administer medications via various routes including injections and IV infusions while adhering to aseptic techniques.
* Manage airway care, ventilator support, tube feeding, catheterization, ostomy care, and wound management.
* Perform diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory testing, specimen collection/processing, sonography, mammography, and radiology procedures.
* Utilize EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth to document patient care accurately and efficiently.
* Provide acute pain management and participate in triage for emergency or urgent cases.
* Assist with complex procedures such as spinal taps, dermal fillers (if certified), or post-operative discharge planning.
* Educate patients and families on health coaching topics including nutrition, medication administration, disease management (e.g., infectious disease care), and post-acute care planning.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in various settings including hospitals (Level I & II Trauma Centers), outpatient clinics, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospice & palliative units.
* Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols to maintain patient confidentiality and safety standards.

*Requirements*

* Valid RN license with current registration in the state of practice.
* Extensive clinical experience across multiple specialties such as ICU/critical care transport, emergency room/urgent care, geriatrics (including memory care), pediatrics (including neonatal ventilator management), dialysis units, or hospital medicine.
* Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth; experience with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding is preferred.
* Demonstrated ability to perform advanced skills such as suturing, phlebotomy, specimen collection/processing, IV insertion/infusion therapy.
* Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to diverse patient populations; ability to interpret diagnostic evaluations effectively.
* Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques.
* Ability to work independently in inpatient or outpatient settings while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
* Experience working with vulnerable populations such as those with disabilities or chronic conditions like Alzheimer's or dementia is advantageous.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $44.13 - $53.15 per hour
