*Duties*

* Provide psychotherapy, including individual, group, and family counseling sessions.
* Utilize evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Psychodynamic Therapy.
* Engage in crisis intervention and management for patients in acute distress.
* Maintain accurate medical documentation and adhere to HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for patients with complex needs, including those with developmental disabilities or PTSD.
* Participate in clinical research initiatives and data collection to enhance service delivery.
* Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding mental health issues.
* Stay current with medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, and EMR systems for effective documentation.
*Skills*
* Proficient in psychotherapy techniques including motivational interviewing, behavioral therapy, and addiction counseling.
* Experience working with children, families, geriatrics, and individuals with disabilities or autism.
* Knowledge of home & community care practices as well as special education resources.
* Strong case management skills with the ability to navigate complex healthcare systems.
* Familiarity with clinical research methodologies and data analysis.
* Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams.
* Understanding of psychopharmacology principles related to mental health treatment.
