Accel is a private, nonprofit organization for children with special needs, ages 5-22, and adults 18 and over. ACCEL provides innovative, individualized and comprehensive educational, therapeutic, vocational, behavioral, life skills, and transitional services to individuals with a wide range of disabilities including autism, intellectual, physical disabilities and health impairments. The team includes Special Education Teachers, OTs, PTs, Music Therapist, Aquatic Therapy, Recreation Therapy, Board Certified Behavior Analysts, and more. *JOB SUMMARY* :

Work under the plan of care of a registered occupational therapist to develop functional sensorimotor, perceptual, and fine motor skills in students with physical, cognitive, and emotional/behavioral challenges with students. Collaborate and develop programming alongside teachers, parents and other related service providers.

*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*

* Provide consultative and direct occupational therapy services.
* Develop and implement individualized educational plans and instructional programs under the supervision of an occupational therapist.
* Participate in Multidisciplinary Evaluation Team (MET) and Individual Education as needed.
* Participate in the individual education planning, collaborating with teachers as appropriate for each student to receive occupational therapy services under the supervision of an occupational therapist.
* Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team to implement therapeutic and educational programs.
* Provide ongoing and periodic evaluations of student's progress, documenting progress with the same frequency as for all ACCEL students.
* Develop and maintain a professional relationship with parents/caregivers and inform them of the student's progress.
* Submit all reports within designated time frames.
* Maintain an accurate record keeping system.
* Maintain attendance and hourly contact records for Medicaid.
* Submit Medicaid billing as directed.
* Comply with ACCEL policies.

*MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS* :

* Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy required.
* Valid Arizona Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners License.
* Obtain an AHCCCS number for submission of Medicaid billing.
