*Overview*
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a dedicated Physical Therapist, where your expertise will transform patient recovery journeys across diverse settings. In this vital role, as a Physical Therapist, you are responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing individualized treatment programs for infants, children, and adolescents with developmental, neurological, or musculoskeletal conditions. The therapist promotes optimal physical function, mobility, and independence to help each child achieve their full potential in daily activities.
*Duties*
* Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations to assess gross motor skills, strength, balance, coordination, and posture.
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results, physician recommendations, and family goals.
* Provide direct therapy interventions to improve mobility, functional movement, and overall physical development.
* Educate and train parents, caregivers, and teachers on home exercise programs and strategies to support therapy goals.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (e.g., occupational therapists, speech therapists, physicians, teachers) to ensure cohesive patient care.
* Document all patient evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with professional and legal standards.
* Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and continuing education to maintain professional development.
* Ensure compliance with ethical, legal, and safety standards in the delivery of physical therapy services.
*Experience*
* Experience with developmental disorders, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, Down syndrome, or autism spectrum disorders is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with EMR systems for efficient documentation and communication within multidisciplinary teams is required.
* Hands-on experience with physiotherapy modalities such as trigger point therapy, orthopedics rehabilitation techniques, and geriatrics-focused interventions is preferred.
* Knowledge of medical terminology alongside a solid foundation in anatomy and physiology ensures precise assessments and tailored treatments.
* Experience working with pediatric populations as well as geriatric patients enhances your versatility in delivering compassionate care across all age groups.
* Strong understanding of care plans development for patients recovering from surgery or injury ensures comprehensive treatment delivery.
