A mission-driven, community-focused healthcare organization is seeking a Medical Director to lead clinical operations at one of its high-volume health centers. The organization provides comprehensive primary care, behavioral health, and supportive services to underserved populations across multiple boroughs. With a strong commitment to health equity, this organization serves tens of thousands of individuals annually through fixed sites, mobile units, and school-based programs.
The Medical Director will oversee clinical affairs at a designated health center, providing both direct patient care and leadership to a multidisciplinary team. This role involves supervising providers, ensuring quality standards, and collaborating with administrative leadership to optimize care delivery and operational efficiency.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Deliver high-quality primary care services to a diverse patient population.
* Supervise and support medical providers, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants.
* Partner with center leadership to manage day-to-day clinical operations.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives, policy development, and compliance efforts.
* Lead or contribute to provider onboarding, training, and performance evaluations.
* Represent the center in clinical leadership meetings and organizational planning.
* Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
* Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, regulatory standards, and organizational values.
*Requirements:*
* Board-certified MD or DO with an active license to practice in New York State.
* Minimum of one year of post-residency experience in a primary care setting.
* Demonstrated leadership experience or strong interest in clinical supervision and operations.
* Commitment to serving diverse, medically underserved communities.
* Bilingual skills and experience in community health settings are a plus.
