Focus Family Care is seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality therapeutic services to patients in various settings, including outpatient clinics, home health, and inpatient facilities. This role is essential in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals and improve their daily living skills.
*Responsibilities*
* Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
* Support patients in performing Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to enhance their independence.
* Conduct therapeutic exercises and activities to promote physical and cognitive recovery.
* Document patient progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with facility policies.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop effective care plans tailored to patient needs.
* Educate patients and families about treatment goals, techniques, and home exercise programs.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment for therapy sessions, ensuring all equipment is properly sanitized.
* Stay updated on best practices in occupational therapy and participate in ongoing professional development.
*Requirements*
* Valid Occupational Therapy Assistant Certification from Florida Board of Occupational Therapy
* Experience in outpatient, home health, inpatient, or acute care settings is preferred.
