*Job description*
Rare opportunity for a Registered Dental Hygienist that wants to provide exceptional care. At our practice, hygienists have the tools to treat our patients as complete people. We understand and educate our patients on the oral- systemic connection. You will have the ability to make a profound impact on the oral, and overall health of our patients. You will receive training on the use of a diode laser, dental ozone, CBCT, airway evaluation, salivary testing and other advanced diagnostics and treatments. We believe in high quality continuing education and provide financial benefits toward this every year.
We are a single location private dental office. Our mission is to provide care to our patients as if they are members of our own family. We value a healthy work environment which is why the office is equipped with overhead aerosol vacuums in every operatory. We are an amalgam free office and we take precautions to keep our patients and team members safe from harmful Mercury vapor and other aerosols.
*Responsibilities*
* Conduct initial intra-oral health screenings as well as reviewing health and oral health histories
* Conduct cleanings as part of our re-care program AND conduct scaling and root planning as part of our periodontal program
* Educate patients of all ages on proper hygiene
* Take BW, FMX's, PANO's, CBCT's, and flag any suspicious finding to the doctor
* Take intra oral photos of dental findings to use as part of our patient education
* Explain dental treatment options with patients
*Skills*
* Proven experience as Dental Hygienist or similar role
* In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA)
* Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
* Outstanding communication skills
* A patient and friendly personality
* Attention to detail
* Passion to provide exceptional patient care
* Diploma in Dental Hygiene; Master's is a plus
* Valid license to practice in RI
Salary: $45 and up
Schedule:
* Thursday and Fridays, Mondays and additional hours are also possible
* No nights
* No weekends
