Join our dynamic team as an Occupational Therapist and make a meaningful difference in childrens' lives in the classroom setting. In this vital role, a School Occupational Therapist (OT) supports students in achieving success within the educational environment by promoting functional skills that enable participation and engagement in school activities. The OT assesses, plans, and implements therapy interventions to address fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and functional performance needs that impact a student's ability to learn and participate in the educational setting.

* Conduct occupational therapy evaluations to determine eligibility and need for services under IDEA or Section 504.
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on students' strengths, needs, and educational goals.
* Participate as a member of the multidisciplinary team to contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans.
* Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students individually or in small groups within the classroom and other school environments.
* Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' functional participation and promote carryover of therapy strategies in daily routines.
* Adapt and modify classroom materials, tools, and environments to enhance student accessibility and performance.
* Provide training and support to school staff on sensory regulation, motor development, and ergonomic or adaptive strategies.
* Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and compliance reports according to district and state guidelines.
* Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and ongoing continuing education to maintain licensure and professional competence.
* Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and district policies and regulations.

*Experience*

* Master's degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
* Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
* Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
* Experience working with people with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities is highly valued.
* Prior involvement in early intervention programs or school-based therapy is advantageous.
* Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and special education processes.
* Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
* Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and multidisciplinary teams.
* Knowledge of sensory integration, fine motor development, and assistive technology.
* Commitment to supporting inclusive educational environments.
