*What you'll do*
* Supervise daily pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and best practices.
* Oversee medication dispensing, including compounding medications and IV infusion preparation.
* Conduct thorough patient assessments to tailor medication therapy and optimize outcomes.
* Manage inventory effectively to ensure availability of medications while minimizing waste.
* Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement medical management plans for patients.
* Provide immunizations and educate patients on medication administration and pain management strategies.
* Utilize pharmacy software and EMR/EHR systems to maintain accurate patient records and streamline workflows.
* Mentor pharmacy technicians and support their professional development within the team.
*Basic qualifications*
* Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic technique.
*Preferred qualifications*
* Experience in long-term care (LTC) pharmacy or critical care settings.
* Completion of a pharmacy residency program or equivalent clinical pharmacy experience.
* Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
