*Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist in Charge to oversee pharmacy operations in a dynamic healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective delivery of medications, managing pharmacy staff, and providing exceptional patient care. This role is critical in maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and enhancing the overall quality of care provided to patients.
*Duties*
* Supervise daily pharmacy operations, including medication dispensing and inventory management.
* Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to pharmacy practice.
* Provide clinical pharmacy services, including medication therapy management and patient assessments.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals in acute care settings, including Level II Trauma Centers and ER departments.
* Mentor and train pharmacy staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
* Conduct regular audits of pharmacy practices to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
* Participate in multidisciplinary rounds to provide input on medication-related issues in critical care environments.
*Experience*
* Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
* Post-residency experience preferred, particularly in clinical pharmacy or acute care settings.
* Proven experience in medication administration, patient care, and critical care environments.
* Strong knowledge of pharmacotherapy principles and practices related to diverse patient populations.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
* Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and pharmacy management software.
