*Overview*
We are seeking a passionate, dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team that is located at the heart of Frederick. *Responsibilities*
* provide exceptional oral health services, including cleanings, exams, and patient education in a full time roll (4-5 days per week, flexible scheduling).
* Conduct patient assessments, including taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories to ensure safe and effective treatment.
* Utilize dental terminology proficiently to communicate effectively with patients and team members regarding treatment plans and procedures.
* Assist in the documentation review of medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
* Provide chairside assistance during various dental procedures, demonstrating expertise in four-handed dentistry techniques.
* Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, dietary recommendations, and preventive care strategies tailored to individual needs.
* Collaborate with the dental team to develop treatment plans that address both general dentistry and pediatric dentistry needs.
* perform patient education in terms of occlusion and alignment, and take iTero scan on some patients.
* Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene practices, including familiarity with EMR systems and medical coding.
*Qualifications*
* Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist with a strong background in patient care and assessment. licensed RDH in Maryland. New grads encouraged to apply.
* Knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and dental terminology essential for effective communication within the clinical setting.
* Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety at all times.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients while providing compassionate care.
* A true team player, get along with the team member, friendly, empathetic, and eager to contribute ideas in a fun, respectful workplace.
* Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with the workflow of dental practices.
